Several years ago when they decided to start fluoridating the water in our area, I spoke to a friend who worked at a water treatment area in the valley and asked him what his take was on it. He responded that they were ALL against it. He said that fluoride was poison to the body... and some other facts, which I listened to and then forgot about it. The fluoride bill passed and life went on.
Then I was talking to a neighbor the other day who was telling me that she had been prescribed a drug for a bladder infection, and that most drugs contain fluoride. She said the fluoride had started breaking her tendons down, and that she had been to a lot of doctors before they figured that out. I asked her "What do you mean tendons?" She mentioned having tennis elbow and that got my attention, as I am currently wearing an elbow brace for what the doctor describes as tendinitis. I doubt that I have the reaction that she had, but now I was curious and wanted to facts. I have been going down to an artisian well and getting water at the artesian well park on the corner of 8th South and 5th East http://www.ci.slc.ut.us/Utilities/ud_8_south_artesian_well.htm. I told Wes that I would like a reverse osmosis system, which would filter out all the impurities in the water and he is in the process of installing this. Let me share with you what I found out about the side affects of fluoride, one being severe headaches.

Reverse osmosis systems are capable of removing most sediments and particulates down to less than 0.0005 microns as well as bacteria, viruses, Cryptosporidium, Giardia (Beaver fever), most heavy metals, asbestos, chlorine, fluoride, and a wide range of volatile organic compounds including many pesticides and herbicides
